The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Eastern Railway, Kolkata, invites online applications from eligible Indian sportspersons under the Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for Group-C and Group-D posts(60 Vacancies). Details of Vacancies:

• Group ‘C’ (Level 4/5)
  • Posts: 5
  • Eligibility: Graduation or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Group ‘C’ (Level 2/3)
  • Posts: 16
  • Eligibility: Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent, OR Matriculation with ITI/Apprenticeship.
• Group ‘D’ (Level 1)
  • Posts: 39
  • Eligibility: Class 10 or equivalent, OR ITI, OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) by NCVT.

Educational Qualifications : 10+2/Class 10th with ITI Certificate / Any Graduate

• Level 4 or 5- Passed Graduation or its equivalent examination in any discipline from a Govt. recognized University/Institution
• Level 2 or 3: Passed class 12th (10+2 stage) or its equivalent examination. Educational Qualification must be from a Govt. recognized Board / Council / Institutions etc. OR Passed Matriculation from recognize Board plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship OR Passed class 10th from Govt. recognized Board / Council / Institutions etc. plus ITI passed OR its equivalent examination or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.[Minimum educational
  qualification should be as applicable to the post offered]
  
• Level – 1 Passed class 10thor its equivalent examination OR ITI passed OR its equivalent examination OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT. Education Qualification from a Govt. recognized Board/Council/ Institutes etc. [Minimum educational qualification should be as applicable to the post offered]

Age Requirement : 18 to 25 Years

Candidates applying for this position should meet the minimum age requirement that is set by the RRB.

Application Process Fee :

The application fee will be  500 Rs. for General/OBC/ EWS category candidates (400 will be refunded after deducting bank charges on appearing in the Trials) and  250/- fee for SC/ST/ PWD category candidates and for women candidates from all categories.
(The full amount will be refunded after deducting bank charges on appearing in the Trials)

Salary :

Selection Process :

Apprentices will be selected on the basis of unit-wise, trade-wise and community-wise merit position. The merit list for each unit will be based on percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) + ITI marks in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done. The final panel will be on the basis of average of marks in matriculation and ITI.

NOTE: When there are two or more candidates having equal marks, the older candidate in age, shall be ranked higher. In case their date of birth is also same, then the candidate who passed matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first.
