About the Team
This role is part of Amazon’s Shopping Experience Protection Operations (SEPO) team. The team focuses on building trust among customers, brands, vendors, sellers, and internal employees. They work with advanced tools, analytics, and scalable processes to reduce risks and ensure a safe shopping experience for all users on the Amazon platform.
As an Investigation Specialist, you will help protect the platform by identifying fraudulent or high-risk seller activities, customer issues, and suspicious transactions.
Role Overview
The Investigation Specialist plays an important role in detecting, analyzing, and resolving issues related to seller activities, online risks, and complex e-commerce transactions. This position requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to make independent decisions.
You will be responsible for evaluating seller accounts, investigating suspicious behaviors, preventing fraud, and maintaining the integrity of the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will include:
- Researching and evaluating information related to seller transactions
- Following standard operating procedures to take appropriate action
- Documenting investigations with detailed annotations
- Communicating with customers via email or phone when necessary
- Coordinating with internal teams such as risk analysts and engineers
- Escalating inconsistencies or issues to relevant departments
- Analyzing performance metrics and contributing to team goals
- Meeting assigned productivity and quality targets
This role demands accuracy, quick decision-making, and the ability to work with large amounts of data.
Basic Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Graduate in any discipline
- Experience: 0 to 5 years (Freshers can apply)
- Skills Required:
