Role Overview

The Closing Support team plays an important role in the mortgage closing process. The team supports the closing department by handling pre-closing tasks, document preparation, and quality control checks.

The main goal of this role is to ensure that loan closing processes happen smoothly, accurately, and within regulatory guidelines.

Candidates in this role must have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of mortgage documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Candidates selected for the Analyst – Closing Support role will be responsible for several operational and documentation tasks.

Some of the main responsibilities include:

1. Stakeholder Communication

Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination during the loan closing process.

2. Preparing Closing Documents

Generate accurate disclosures and closing documents while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

3. Pre-Balancing Closing Disclosures

Coordinate with settlement agents and internal teams to pre-balance the Closing Disclosure (CD) before the loan closing.

4. Coordination with Loan Teams

Collaborate with teams such as:

  • Loan Specialists
  • Closers
  • Title Companies

This coordination helps ensure that loan files progress smoothly through each milestone.

5. Loan File Review

Review loan files before closing to identify potential issues or delays. Any roadblocks must be escalated to the relevant teams to ensure timely completion.

6. Post-Closing Support

Assist with post-closing tasks, including handling disbursement issues and processing supplemental wire requests.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates applying for this role should meet the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in mortgage closing, loan processing, or a similar role
