We’re looking for a one of a kind Data Engineering Intern: someone who can take any source system, however ugly, and reliably turn it into clean, trusted, production-grade gold tables. You’ll work directly under our Founding Data & Observability Engineer, building the medallion pipelines our platform runs on.

This is hands-on, detail-obsessed pipeline craft. It’s an internship on paper, but we want someone genuinely outstanding. A superstar early-career engineer who does this better than people twice their tenure. This is not an ordinary internship, we will help you accelerate up the career ladder with a mentorship program that is second to none.

🔑 The Role

You’ll own the journey from raw, scrappy source data to clean gold.

• Building medallion pipelines (bronze, silver, gold) on Databricks with Delta Lake
• Taming inconsistent, undocumented, real-world data (exports, spreadsheets, semantic models, transactional systems) into something clean and trustworthy
• Writing excellent, performant SQL. Modelling and querying operational data in PostgreSQL
• Tracing every metric back to source so gold tables are auditable and reproducible
• Building pipelines so they are clean to instrument

This is execution at a very high standard. You take direction on what to build, and you nail the how.

🧩 Who This Is For

• A high GPA and serious academic pedigree. Our strongest engineers come from top tier Indian universities such as IIT, NIT and SRM, and that’s the calibre we hire at.
• Exceptional at SQL. Non-negotiable, and how we’ll assess you.
• Hands-on Databricks: Delta Lake and the Lakehouse model
• Solid PostgreSQL experience
• A proven track record of turning scrappy source data into clean medallion gold tables. You’ve done this before, not just read about it.
• Obsessive about detail and data quality. You sweat the edge cases.
• Scrappy and resourceful. Given a target and clear direction, you find the path to gold.

Nice to have: Python, orchestration (Airflow/Spark), Unity Catalog, Docker/Kubernetes.
