Academic Qualifications and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent: In Information Technology or a related field.
Networking certifications: CCNA, JNCIA, ACCA, PCNSA, CCSA etc. are preferred.
Security certifications: AZ-500, SC-200, Security+, CEH etc. These are a plus!

Required Experience

Basic experience: With Security technologies like Firewall, IPS, IDS, Proxy & more.
Technical support: Basic experience helping clients.
Diagnosis and troubleshooting: Basic skills here.
Remote support in Security Technologies
SOC/CSIRT Operations
Handling security incidents end to end
Security engineering

Key Roles and Responsibilities

You will be part of a 24/7 team working on rotational shifts. You’ll handle stake holder requests and escalations. Also, there will be reporting and trainings.

Administer security tools: This involves gathering security logs from the environment.
Lifecycle management: Taking care of supported security tools/technologies (Break-fix & Patching).
Adherence to SOPs: And notifying stakeholders of log flow/log format issues is necessary.
Documentation of best practices
Identify automation opportunities: To assist the incident response team.
Performing security incident handling and response: This includes various vectors like End Point Protection and Enterprise Detection & response tools.
