📋 Job Description

Company Description

Automantics is a technology company specializing in AI automations and software solutions that help businesses streamline operations and work smarter. We build and support tools that automate repetitive processes, integrate with client systems, and deliver measurable efficiency gains. Team members collaborate closely across departments — from development to support — to improve products and provide consistent, knowledgeable service to clients. Automantics values clear communication (both internal and customer-facing), technical curiosity, problem-solving, and continuous learning. Interns are encouraged to contribute ideas, take initiative, develop professional skills, and gain real-world exposure to how an AI/automation company operates.

Role Description

This remote internship role for a Customer Service Representative involves responding to customer inquiries about Automantics’ AI automation tools and software via email, chat, and phone in a timely and professional manner. The intern will assist in resolving issues, explaining product functionality in clear, non-technical language, and documenting interactions in the customer support system.

Daily tasks include monitoring support queues, following up on open cases, and escalating complex or technical issues to the development/technical team when needed — communicating the problem clearly and accurately so it can be understood and resolved quickly.

In addition to support duties, the intern will help keep track of ongoing client projects and automation deployments — updating project statuses, flagging delays or blockers, and keeping internal tools and trackers current so the team always has an accurate picture of where things stand. This isn’t a project management role; the intern won’t be planning timelines or directing work, but will need enough technical understanding to follow project progress, interpret updates from the technical team, and log statuses accurately — acting more as a technical admin/coordinator keeping records and communication flowing between support, clients, and the technical team.

The role also includes gathering customer feedback, identifying patterns in customer experience with the automation tools, and suggesting improvements to enhance overall satisfaction. Interns will work closely with the customer support and technical teams, maintain clear internal communication and handoffs, follow established procedures, use internal tools (ticketing systems, project trackers, shared inboxes, internal documentation/knowledge base, and team chat platforms) to manage cases and track project status, and participate in training sessions to build service, technical communication, and coordination skills.

As Automantics operates in a fast-moving AI/automation space, self-starters who can learn new tools quickly and work independently in a remote setting will thrive.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in customer-facing roles with exposure to Customer Service Representatives and Customer Support activities, ideally within a tech, SaaS, or automation environment
  • Ability to focus on Customer Satisfaction and maintain a positive Customer Experience
  • General understanding of Customer Service principles and best practices
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into simple, customer-friendly language
  • Basic technical literacy — comfort following project/technical updates, using trackers or admin tools, and understanding at a working level how automation projects move through stages (no coding or development skills required)
  • Comfort working remotely as a self-starter — managing time effectively, working independently, and using online collaboration, support, and project-tracking tools
  • Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from feedback
  • Ability to recognize when an issue needs technical escalation and communicate it clearly and accurately to the development/technical team
  • Genuine interest in AI, automation, or software products is a plus
  • Professional, respectful, and inclusive approach when interacting with diverse customers and colleagues
  • Current enrollment in or recent completion of a program in business, communications, IT, or a related field is beneficial
